Many great discoveries have been made in the history of mankind. None is more important than this – God is available through prayer.
Prayer is important in the life of the believer for a number of reasons:
- It prepares us to do work in the Kingdom.
- It brings our will into harmony with God’s.
- It unleashes the power of God in our lives.
I don’t know where you are in your prayer life, how often you pray, or what you pray for. What I do know, however, is that all of us can MOVE BEYOND whatever place we find ourselves in our life of prayer.
This week, I am challenging you to find a specific time, each day, to pray for at least five minutes. If you already do that, then perhaps you can add five minutes. Try this challenge for three weeks and see if you don’t recognize a difference in every area of your life!
Having a deeper prayer life is moving beyond just a lot of meaningless words to an intimate and sincere sharing relationship with God. It is an indispensable part of our walk with Christ.
