- 7 Wonders of God's Word

We could all look back at some crazy styles we wore when we were younger. Those things that looked so fashionable at one point look a little silly now. But when everyone else was doing it, those things seemed normal. We battle seeking the approval and acceptance of people. But there is no hope being obsessed with what people think of us. What ultimately matters is what God thinks.
The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe. – Proverbs 29:25
The Bible tells us to worry about what man thinks is a trap! Why? Because humans change their minds constantly. One day this style is cool; the next day it’s lame. First, it’s Facebook, then Instagram, then Snapchat, then TikTok. It’s a trap to chase approval from friends, coworkers, or those on social media because they change their minds so much. You can’t please people and you will lose yourself trying. But if you seek to please God with your life, you will be safe! God loves you and wants what is best for you. You can trust Him!
We need to…
- Love and fear God more than our friends.
- Find friends that won’t pressure you to do wrong.
- Learn to say no.
- Decide you’re going to do what’s right whether anyone else does or not.
Have you heard of Daniel and the lion’s den? Daniel was on God’s side and decided He was going to pray to God even when the king made it illegal, and God took care of Him; he was safe. But before that ever happened, Daniel stood up for what he was supposed to eat. For the Jews, there were certain types of meat they couldn’t eat/ Well, Daniel was Kidnapped and taken to a faraway land in Babylon. They wanted Daniel to eat the food that God had told them not to.
But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore, he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. – Daniel 1:8
Daniel decided in his heart that he was going to stand up to the King and say,” I fear God more than man, so I am going to do what God wants me to do.” God protected him here as well; he got bigger and stronger than all the other Israelites that decided it was “ok” to obey the King and disobey God.
God’s way is always the best way. You can trust God. Do I fear people more, or do I fear God more?
Don’t fall to peer pressure.
