Come and See
"Come and see" is a bold invitation to issue to a skeptical person. When you issue such an invitation, you had better be certain there is actually something of value to see once the person gets there. Otherwise, in addition to being embarrassing for you, the person is less likely to accept such invitations in the future. As a church, John's story of Philip and Nathaniel challenges us to consider if there is really anything here worth inviting people to see.
