God is light, and in Him, there is no darkness at all. Living close to God means being fully aware that He knows you inside and out. There’s no point in trying to hide from an all-knowing God or deceiving yourself into thinking you’re fine when you’re not. The closer we draw to God, the more clearly we see ourselves.
