- Jesus: The Series (Season 8)

God can do a lot with little. In John Chapter 6, we see the story of the little boy’s lunch. Jesus has this huge crowd following him for days. The crowd starts to get hangry, and the disciples start to get worried. Why? Because people are serious about food. Tempers flair with a fight where food is involved. But Jesus says we need to feed these people. The disciples said “even 200 days’ wages wouldn’t give this crowd even a little each.” But they go and look anyway. The disciples come back with a little boy’s lunch. They are probably thinking “well at-least we can snack on this stuff while we figure out how to feed the rest of these people.” It wasn’t even a big lunch; it was 5 rolls and 2 small fish. Jesus says, “oh, that little lunch will work, have everyone sit down, and I’ll feed them all from this.”
What that little boy brought to the table fed over 5,000 people. Jesus took his little and made it into a lot. God doesn’t ask you to bring a lot, he just asks that you bring your little. God uses little things to do big things. God can take your little and multiply it in ways you can’t believe. God doesn’t ask you to bring a lot, he just asks that you bring your little. God can do way more with your little than you could ever do with much. If I could tell the world one thing, it would be this – God’s way is the best way. Not only is giving your life to Christ the right thing to do, it is in your best interest!
“Many small people, in many small places, do many small things, that can alter the face of the world.” – Eduardo Galeano
