He answered, “Whether he is a sinner I do not know. One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.” – John 9:25

Have you ever had a moment when everything changed? Maybe it was the day you met your best friend, the moment you realized your calling, or even the day you gave your life to Christ. Some moments mark us forever, and we can never be the same again.

In John 9, we meet a man who was blind from birth. People assumed his suffering was a result of sin—either his own or his parents’. But Jesus corrected their thinking. This man’s blindness wasn’t a punishment; it was a result of a broken world. But it wasn’t only that, it was an opportunity for God’s power to be displayed. And display it, He did! Jesus gave the man his sight, completely transforming his life.

When questioned by the Pharisees, this man didn’t have all the answers. He couldn’t debate theology or explain exactly how Jesus worked this miracle. But he had one undeniable truth: “One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.”

Many times, we hesitate to share our faith because we feel unqualified. We think we need to have all the answers to every theological question before we can testify. But this man’s story reminds us that our testimony doesn’t have to be complicated. We simply need to share what Jesus has done in our lives.

Think about your own story. Where were you before Jesus? How has He changed you? Like the blind man, you may not be able to explain everything, but you do know what Christ has done for you. That’s powerful. That’s enough.

Reflection:

  • How has Jesus changed your life?
  • Do you hesitate to share your faith because you feel like you don’t know enough?
  • Who in your life needs to hear your story?

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for changing my life. I may not have all the answers, but I know that You saved me, redeemed me, and made me new. Help me to share my story boldly and point others to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
