- JESUS: The Series (Season 1)

Over the past few months, God spoke to my heart about sharing Jesus with our community. We need to shout it from the rooftops how amazing God is, and that He wants to save everyone from Hell, guilt, and sin. Too often the loudest things Christians say is about sin and what we are against. Those are important things, but nothing else should be louder than “Jesus Saves!”
We can argue and debate with a person who doesn’t know Christ all we want, but you can’t describe a blue sky to a blind person. They need sight. We shouldn’t get angry at the lost because they don’t agree with us, or don’t believe in God. We can yell “You’re going to hell!” or we can compassionately tell them how to get to Heaven.
Jude 1:22-23 says, “And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.” We need to have compassion filled with the truth. But some people won’t listen to your message, they want to see you live your message.
Another thing we’re tempted to do is limit who God can change. We think some people are too far from God so we don’t try to help them. Did you know the only person that can’t get to heaven is a righteous person? The righteous can’t go to heaven. Sasquatches can’t go to heaven either. Did you know that there is the same number of sasquatches on this earth as righteous people?
Mark 2:16-17 says, “And the scribes of the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples, ‘Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?’ And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, ‘Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.’”
Healthy people don’t need a doctor, sick people do. Jesus didn’t come to die for righteous people, because they don’t exist! For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God! (Romans 3:23)
When we realize how messed up we are, we will love messed up people. The reason it is hard for us to love messed up people is that we think we are better than them. We think that they don’t deserve our time. James 4:6 says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
I hope we never find people that aren’t good enough for our church family. You want to see people saved through your life, you gotta get low. If you’re saved, God wants you to clone yourself. God expects us to reproduce ourselves. Who are you working on? Who has a relationship with Christ because of Christ working through you? Who will take your place when you pass on?
There is a funny two-letter word in the Bible. It is so small but it has such a big impact! It is so small but it has such power behind it! It is so small but it is so potent! GO! GO! GO!
Luke 14:23 says, “And the master said to the servant, ‘Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.’” This verse is part of a parable where people rejected Christ so He sends other’s to go out and invite anyone who will come!
“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15)
We must share Christ. We must GO! GO! GO!
In Christ,
Pastor Phil
