This month, we are having a special CBC Kids Serve Sunday!

We’re partnering with United Hospital Center and an organization called The Jared Box Project to bring a little joy and comfort to children during a hospital stay or a scary day in the ER. Together, we’ll pack and decorate small boxes filled with fun activities for preschool and elementary-aged children.

We’d love for our CBC Kids (and all of you) to help us fill those boxes! As you’re shopping over the next few weeks, consider picking up a few small, new toys, games, or activities that would fit inside a shoebox-sized container. Think action figures, coloring supplies, Matchbox cars, stickers, card games, dolls, and other small activities.

Bring your donations to church and drop them off in the Next Steps area at the back of the sanctuary. Then, on September 27 after service, our CBC Kids are invited to help us prepare and decorate the boxes before we deliver them to UHC!

It’s a simple way for our kids to serve, love their neighbors, and bring a little light to a family who may be having a difficult day. If you have any questions, please reach out to Meghan!
