- Mistaken Identity

Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. – Genesis 1:26
It’s easy to forget who you are when life gets loud. The pressures, expectations, and shifting roles can slowly pull your focus away from the truth that hasn’t changed: you were made in the image of God. That means your worth isn’t earned, and your purpose isn’t something you have to chase down. It’s already been placed within you. Even in the middle of ordinary routines or difficult seasons, your life carries meaning because it is meant to reflect Him. Every decision becomes an opportunity to either drift from that identity or live in it.
So today, slow down enough to remember, you’re called to walk in the “you” that God is restoring. As you submit your attitudes, your reactions, and your desires to Him, He shapes you into a clearer reflection of Christ. This is a steady, lifelong work, but it’s not empty or aimless. God is forming something lasting in you. Live with that awareness, and let your life quietly point others back to Him.
Prayer:
Father, keep my heart anchored in who You say I am. Help me reflect You in all I do today. Amen.
