See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze, in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, to work in every craft. – Exodus 31:2-5
The tabernacle and the temple remind us of God’s desire to dwell with His people. From the portable tent in the wilderness to Solomon’s magnificent temple, God’s presence has always been central to worship. Today, that presence isn’t confined to a building; it dwells within us through the Holy Spirit. Our lives become living temples, meant to reflect God’s glory, draw others to Him, and live in obedience to His commands. Just as Bezalel crafted every detail of the tabernacle with care and devotion, we are called to honor God in our everyday actions, at work, in our homes, and in the way we interact with others. When we do, His presence shines through, making our lives a place where heaven touches earth.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the gift of Your presence in our lives. Just as You filled Bezalel with wisdom and skill, fill us with Your Spirit so that everything we do, big or small, honors You. Help us to recognize our daily responsibilities as opportunities to worship You, and to rely on Your wisdom in every decision we face. May our words, actions, and hearts reflect Your glory, drawing people closer to Your love. Let our bodies be Your temple, our hearts Your sanctuary, and our lives a testimony of Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
