- Christmas Characters
For the past several weeks, we’ve been looking at the characters of the nativity, but tonight we come to the One the whole story is about, Jesus. He doesn’t compare to anyone else. He is our hope in a dark world, the bridge back to God, and the fulfillment of God’s promise.
The angels announced on that first Christmas night, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:10–11). That good news is still true today. The Christmas story is God’s story breaking into ours, and you are invited to be part of it.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for coming into our world and bringing hope, peace, and salvation. Help us to live as Your children, waiting with joy for the day You make all things new. Amen.
