n Daniel 11, we see that God does not leave His people in the dark—He tells them what’s coming, not to make them fearful, but to give them courage. Daniel receives an overwhelming vision of empires rising and falling, of brutal rulers like Antiochus Epiphanes, and of one final enemy still to come. And yet, woven into this prophecy is a resounding message: God knows, God reigns, and God’s purposes will stand. The detailed accuracy of what unfolded in history reminds us that nothing surprises God. If He was sovereign over Persia, Greece, and Rome, He’s sovereign over what you’re facing today.
Sometimes we’re like Daniel—tired, overwhelmed, and discouraged that things aren’t fully restored. But just like Daniel was told, we are reminded: restoration is coming. The Son of Man will reign. Evil will fall. And justice will triumph. Until then, we persevere not because we have all the answers, but because we know the One who does. God’s track record is flawless. He has never failed—and He won’t start with you.
Prayer:
Father, thank You that You are the Most High who rules over the kingdoms of men. When the world feels uncertain and the future unclear, help me remember that You hold all of history in Your hands. Strengthen my faith to stand firm, even when I feel like a stranger in this world. I trust Your plan, and I choose to walk in hope today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
