Greetings from Cuba! We arrived safely in Havana, Saturday afternoon. The weather, here, is very hot with lots of sunshine.
I preached, Sunday morning, at the El Jordan Baptist Church, in Havana. They have a wonderful group of young people that make up the worship band. Most of the music they sing is very Cuban, however some of the music comes from musicians like Chris Tomlin (in Spanish of course).
Tuesday, we leave for Ranchuelo and Zulueta. Both of these churches have strong ties to Clarksburg Baptist Church. Over the last 15 years, our church has enabled them to expand their ministry. Many of you have contributed financially to those efforts. I look forward to seeing what great new things they are doing.
Many of you are probably wondering if I’ve noticed many changes since our two countries have improved relations. There are a few, such as more tourists, but I hope to have a better idea of how things really are when I return.
Thank you for your support of our mission efforts in Cuba.
Gratefully,
Pastor David
