Hello Church Family,
After much consideration, we have decided to move our service this Sunday to our online platform. We want to make sure that we are loving our community well by taking the proper precautions. We feel it’s important to adopt the proactive approach that community leaders and health officials are strongly encouraging in order to slow the spread of illness and can keep everyone safe. We will also suspend all on-campus events at the church this upcoming week.
With that being said, we are having church this Sunday! Our new Associate Pastor of Next Generations, Josh Weddle, is preaching and he will be opening God’s word to the account of Zacchaeus. We encourage you to head to Clarksburg Baptist Church’s Facebook page at 10 a.m. and join us. We will worship, pray together, and dwell on the fact that we can trust our God who is in control.
The church office will remain open during normal business hours. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they are made available. We want to encourage you to reach out with prayer requests or any other communication to our emails or through social media.
Although the church service at CBC will be off-site this week, Church isn’t canceled! Why? Because WE are the church! Continue to reach out to each other, check in on those that may be alone, and pray with each other. Let’s find creative ways to study God’s word together and be the family God has made us to be. We are also brainstorming how we can step up and be the “heart of Clarksburg” during this confusing time. We have some good ideas that we will update you on in the near future.
“Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid.” – John 14:27
We are not afraid! We know who holds the future. At the same time, we want to be wise. Also, please wash your hands.
In Christ,
Pastor Phil
