The God that carved the Grand Canyon, the one that pushed Mt. Everest into a heap, and the God who made each of the 8.7 million creatures of the world unique wants to have a relationship with you! He wants to spend quiet moments with you. He wants you to know Him. God is not hiding, He is not far away, and He is not too busy.
God wants you to know Him better. The more you know of Him, the more you will trust Him. J.D. Greear says, “Confidence doesn’t come from a clearer self-assessment. Confidence comes from a clearer view of God.” Your answers don’t lie deeper in you, they lie deeper in Christ.
Be patient, don’t rush, set a time and a place to meet with God. In the words of Carey Nieuwhof, “Prayer is not a button to be pushed, it’s a relationship to be pursued.” Don’t settle for a long distance relationship with God. Morning, noon, or night find a place to pause and speak to your Father and listen for Him to speak to your heart. Search the scripture for a deeper understanding of who He is and what He asks of you.
“You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” – Jeremiah 29:13
If you are a follower of Jesus that doesn’t spend time regularly in prayer and reading His word then you are doing it wrong. Seek Jesus!
