Christmas at CBC

Celebrate Christmas at Clarksburg Baptist Church!

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

Our Christmas Eve Service is always a special night. We invite you and your family to join us on December at 6:30!

 Christmas Day Service

Join us on Christmas morning as we celebrate together! The service will start at 11 AM, instead of 10. There will not be childcare, but we will have special things in the service for kids. We also invite all kids to wear their Christmas pajamas to the service.

 Above & Beyond Christmas Offering

For Above and Beyond December, we want to come alongside CASA. I reached out to them to find the best way to give towards what they are doing in our community, as they have a couple of drives going on right now for clothes and Christmas toys. Those will be ending in a couple of weeks, and since our offering goes throughout December, they suggested just giving towards their general efforts. Here is a blurb we can use to highlight and communicate the goal of the offering…

This December, we have a chance with our Above and Beyond Offering to come alongside a group in our community seeking to bring about good in every child’s life. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) strives to create and strengthen our community where every child in need is supported and given the opportunity to thrive. They do this by working directly with families in the foster care system, providing shelters and facilities, making Christmas happen for families in need, and providing clothing and hygiene items throughout the year. We want to see every child in our community thrive and know they are loved, so join us this month in our offering.

 Advent Devotional

The most beautiful time of the year is upon us. The air is getting colder, the stores are getting busier, people are decorating, and our favorite carols are starting to play.

Advent is a season to reflect, remember, and rejoice over the coming of our Savior. For centuries, Christians have written poems and songs to celebrate the arrival of Jesus. Whether it is Silent Night, O Little Town of Bethlehem, or Joy to the World, we have long tried to capture the majesty and wonder of Christmas.

The songs written to honor this grand arrival were not the first songs offered up. The Gospel of Luke records four songs in the birth narrative of Jesus. These songs capture the themes we focus on during the Advent season. This devotional will guide us through these four songs in Luke and center us upon the love, hope, joy, and peace that we can experience this season because of the coming of Jesus.

Written by members of our Clarksburg Baptist Church family, we pray this devotional will bless you and our church family.
